Mathea grew up playing competitive ice hockey and a passion for anything athletic. After suffering from a herniated disk, she was unable to play college hockey and thus pursued her degree in Psychology at Boston College. While recovering, she became increasingly focused on the fundamentals of exercise and the process of rehabilitation. As a result, she decided to become a full-time personal trainer while continuing her education at Boston College alongside the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She pairs her studies of Psychology with her expertise in exercise sciences to create a psychologically supportive and physically challenging environment for her clients. With over five years of experience, she has helped dozens people reach their physical goals and overcome injuries.
